I had a new one delivered this morning.

I used to have one when I had a pub in Dover, and when I took over a pub in London, I had to buy two more, as it was so popular & addictive.

Not sure, but I think it originated from Cornwall, but could be wrong.

Its generally thought to originate from France. As Its a popular gambling game with sailors, its easy to see how it hopped the channel.
