In response to the 'age 25' debate I would just like to add my friend had an abnormal smear at 23. This was not due to any inaccuracy as she needed biopsies and treatment done. Just a thought...

Exactly alijangra! it also disgusts me that we don't get automatic mammograms at a younger age. Is it over 50? appalling :o(

Of course nobody gets breast cancer under that age do they...*rolls eyes*. Even my 65 year old mother in law says she would rather give her mammogram to me..she feels that she has lived the majority of her life, whilst the younger women who fall through the net can miss the chance of a longer life.

Rant over!

malaise...so sorry to hear of your mothers illness. I really don't know what else to say.

Cervical cancer runs in my mothers side of the family, luckily caught earlier due to smear tests.. this is why I am so passionate about this subject.

GO GET THOSE SMEAR TESTS...please :o)
