At What Stage In Life......

Did you feel that (professionally speaking) you had "made it".
Was there a point when you were content with the progression made in whatever field you worked in? Or did you always strive to improve, be promoted and better yourself?

Had this debate with a couple of friends earlier, we are all mid 30's. Friend 1 earns a good wage, with a pension and is totally content, no desire to change jobs or move up the ladder. Friend 2 is on his 10th job in as many years, mostly part time contracts, and he is totally content with this.

Me, I feel like I want to keep striving for better. I don't feel anywhere near satisfied and want to achieve more.

I'm happy with the way my life has Jd, my schooling was not the best, but that's my own fault, I always wanted to drive Dam Lorries, my 2nd I am still achieving, I like helping people especially people less off than myself, we have no Debts, own our own house / cars, my health is excellent, also I have a really good / Housekeeping / money saving / Honest / Trustworthy Wife, what more can I ask for? I'm sure my life is complete.

Professionally, the tax man keeps me working

I think you've made it when you start thinking about doing things for the love of it. I have no desire to move up any more professional ladders only to enjoy using my skills and knowledge for the better good.

Tilly some tubs have got just one tree in underplanted with bulbs, some 2 or 3 roses or small shrubs, 8 of them are my vegetable garden, two are planted with culinary herbs and scented geraniums. My dogs pound round the garden so I have got my garden in the tubs. The edibles are in tubs high enough to be pee proof.
Yes it was a LOT of compost, I have got muscles on my muscles!!
