Can you recommend anywhere to get acrylic nails done in Surbiton or Kingston area at a reasonable price? I only want them done once as I am going on holiday. Does anyone know if Emma's Nails in Surbiton is any good, are they friendly? The masks put me off a bit.

Everyone I know who has had acrylics done has said they wished they hadn't as it ruins your real nals. I don't know how long you've got until your holiday but, speaking as someone who has a nail polish addiction can I offer these suggestions.

If you have time buy a nail nourisher I use OPI Nail Envy. (I get most of my stuff from several lovely ladies on ebay!). However I should add if you just put nail polish on your nails all the time it does protect your nails and you'll find they grow. People always wait until their nails are 'nice' or 'long' to paint them and you'll find they grow better if you keep them painted. I always use OPI more expensive but it will saty on a week with maybe a fresening coat half way through.

If you have no time and your nails are short don't worry, short nails are really in at the moment, file them neatly and paint them lovely bright or metallic colours (not dark red!)

Enjoy your hols!
