Undoubtedly an inconvenience to many motorists but what do you think about some of their reaction?

237SJ Thanks for posting the supplimentary piece which does state, according to the police, that comments were made at the scene.

Naturally, there would have been massive frustration among motorists but you know, gness isn't too wide off the mark. I recall an incident a number of years ago. A paramedic was cursing that he was due to go off shift when he was called to an RTA. Having arrived in high dudgeon he realised his daughter was the victim.

Food for thought.....
Haha...my post was removed...

and for those that didnt see it, I didnt day anything bad or negative about the person on the bridge, in case youre wondering it was a wordplay comment on twitter users , the same one ive seen used all over the net for years, but for some reason AB decided to remove it...haha
oh yeah, and how i thought the police could have resolved the situation without closing the whole road down
Annoyance, anger even, at the delay is understandable. Lack of compassion such that they do such things as are reported is unacceptable and indicates the human race, as a whole, has a long way to go. As a species we are still unable to control our reactions to do what we know deep down is right. Only a gifted few seem to approach that. Indeed many seem not to understand at all and attempt to justify that which should shame them.
There but for the grace of God.

Old Geezer, an excellent post, well said.
Spot on, OG.....well said indeed.....and David too.....

Not one of us knows when we could be in a situation that would bring us to this.....x
The problem is today there are technologies that allow people to let everybody know what they are thinking as it happens ...whereas years ago theyd still be saying and thinking the same but we wouldnt generally get to hear bout it...

This particular incident in all probability wouldnt even have reached the local rag, but thanks to the wonders of modern tech the whole *** world can find out about it !
so, g o d d amn is also a banned word on here !

Baz, /// This particular incident in all probability wouldnt even have reached the local rag///

Can't agree with that but I do take your point that news is more instant these days due to technology...
Agchristie, many years back I came through Hackney East London, there was an elderly bloke trying to cross the road, this person held a white stick, I stopped my HGV got out to assist this person only to have the 100mph cranks behind me blasting their horns, my answer to them, the last word was off, ignorant basds. that's the world we live in I'm afraid.

TWR - very commendable. Sad that some others around you didn't have the same mindset :(
If you use a white stick, you should surely cross at a crossing.
I can't believe you have said that T.

Did you leave the engine running TWR, so you could make a quick getaway?
I can't believe you have said that T.

Why?
You need to emote more to fit in, Tablet. You'll never get into a decent clique with your attitude.
TWR, my getaway would have been very w might even have stalled a couple of times! I know this shows my age, but why do people feel the need to vent their frustrations to all and sundry through Twitter or whatever? What happened to muttering in your beard in a perfectly British way?? A good Tut used to suffice.
