Hi there I got in a real state I read that breathlessness could be a silent heart attack so I phoned NHS24 and they were really good they said I am talking fast and in long sentences so I am not breathless (eh??) but my friend gave me a colouring book with coloured pens for the journey I didnt go on so I am going to sit and try and do them and take my mind off it when Im doing something Im not breathless. I am trying to avoid diazepam i honestly think it makes my agitation worse but if necessary will take it in 1 hour I have a thumping headache as well

Gordie, try the paper bag to slow your breathing down. It's hyperventilation more than breathlessness. Are you taking antidepressants still?

Im going to see the doctor tomorrow afternoon I felt the anti depressants made my anxiety worse but I know it can do that short term. So i am not at the moment but Im going to see doctor and see what he thinks
And you can keep your updates in one thread.
Do your colouring .It's a very relaxing hobby ,the new stress buster. I do them myself .I like the fashion ones .There are lots of lovely books you can get if you have a look on Amazon .They do take your mind off things .

gordie...what strength are your diazepam? I really think they will help you, as does the GP obviously, if he's prescribed them for you

Gordie, they can make it worse for the first couple of weeks. That's the anxiety coming out. You really need to stick with them.
That's exactly what I take every night :) No problems at all, just a lovely peaceful kip....usually on sofa till 3am, when i wake up + get in bed :)
