i did a random test this morning after a sip of coffee. It was 6.6. I have been feeling low for a while. Very drained and empty feeling on waking each morning.

I take thyroxine. My cholesterol is not good and I have a fatty liver apparently and just found out in the last week I have gallstones.

Just been googling symptoms for diabetes and I seem to fit the bill. Dry mouth in the morning, overweIght and depression/ anxiety.

Sorry this should have been in Body & Soul. Could the Ed move it for me.
Report it Sammy.
It is not unusual for people without diabetes to have a higher than usual reading on waking but I suggest you take more tests before each meal and two hours afterwards to see if it is still on the high side throughout the day.

If it is, make an appointment to see your GP.

I have asked by way of reporting for this thread to be moved to Body & Soul.
6.6 is normal..........no evidence of diabetes there.

See your GP.
