Bliss Today Has Been.....

.....sitting on the highest point on Valentia Island.......a clear and sunny day with some of the best views I have ever seen.....

A really nice picnic area provided and in keeping with the area......benches set into slate walls......

I sat alone, bar the middle aged couple having a picnic nearby.......they finished, stood up and......well I thought they were walking off the food....

But no....they got into their car and drove away leaving all the left over food, plastic and paper wrappers and a paper carrier bag on the bench.

Had I known they were not coming back for it I would have chased them.... not to throw them off the cliff.....not to slap them with a wet fish....but just to ask.... why?.....why do you litter a beautiful place....the only litter I've seen today.....

They weren't travellers......and they weren't Irish......but hey.....it was easy to bring it home with me and bin it.......

Off to the bar for more bliss.....xx

That's brilliant you can travel at will. Ther ferry is great way to come over and take in everything - enjoy your return to Ireland, I do hope you won't have any more experiences like today :( we do take pride in the landscape (the majority of us)

If I could see my way now I think it's time I came back for good.....I love the gentleness....the humour....and the friendliness here.......x

I have many places in Ireland I love to go back to, Daisy.....but for a first time you must begin in Kerry and Cork....without a doubt!.......say when and I will point you in the right direction.....x
