I thought that the rules had been changed and that she can be a princess.

Ahh, lovely to get a quick glimpse, can't blame them for getting off quickly though, must have been a very long tiring day and to have to be up, professionally dressed, had hair done etc...then face the world, in such a short time after giving birth, fair play to her.
Mrs sqad is not happy.

The world's media has been waiting for at least almost a week and all they got for their patience was a quick wave.

Yes, it was a tiring day for the Royals, but it is only ONE day and they could have made a bigger effort.

I couldn't care less, but Mrs sqad feels that "it was not good enough."

The rules are varied on an ad hoc basis, as was done for Prince Charles and Princess Anne as strictly speaking they wee not royal at the time of birth, being descended from King George through the female line. I don't know if the Queen has varied this for the new baby. Prince George is royal within the existing rules, being the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales.
Thanks, Baldric, I missed that.
It was very brief but underneath all the nice dress, freshly hairdressed hair and make up though she did look tired, not surprising really and we don't know what kind of birth she had. Maybe they will come out and give a bit more of a look when they've settled a bit, maybe with the official naming?
Sorry to sound a right old grouch but why, with so many people having such a hard time at the moment, are we expected to show delight when privileged people have a baby? As usual, the media overkill is at work and the Beeb especially go way over the top!
Don't show delight if you don't want to, but let those that do, do so !! I agree with sqad though, I think they could have had a word with the press like they did when George was born, it would only have taken a few minutes and then they could have been on their way.
