Sorry if the spelling is incorrect.

My whole jaw, top and bottom, aches. Also a number of teeth are tender. I've had it for about a week now and am taking Ibuprofen.

Should I bother seeing a doctor or dentist? Is there anything they can do?

Also, if it sounds like Neuralga to you, what causes it?

It doesn't sound like neuralgia to me, though I'm no expert.
I get it on one side, can't eat or sleep and it drives me to the doctors for pain relief very quickly. The most pain I have ever experienced.
It could probably be quite a few things (teeth, sinus, neuralgia etc). I'd start with the dentist as an abscess can cause those symptoms.
That sounds like the trigeminal kind hc which is meant to be excruciating.

Thanks both. It had to be a bank holiday weekend so will have to put up with it a few days more!
Trigeminal Neuralgia manifests itself with a flashing, searing pain ('the worst pain known to man') which may come singly or in 'bursts'.
I doubt a constant ache is TN
"The official description of Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is: “sudden, severe, brief, stabbing pain occurring in attacks lasting at the most a few seconds usually only on one side of the face and provoked by light touch”. It is considered to be “the worst pain known to man” "

the worst pain known to man

and the second-worst known to women, who also have childbirth to contend with.

Though I'd also add "root canal treatment without anaesthetic" into the mix, having had it a couple of times.

This sort of thing can just come from an uncomfortable night's sleep: you twist your neck a bit, your jaw is pushed slightly out of line, your bite goes awry, and you can get half your face aching. I've had this, and I've found osteopathy useful, just gently prodding things back into place.
I totally agree with hc4361 and Prudie.
Do you grind/grit your teeth as this can cause Jaw ache, I suffer from that myself, during the day my face and head ache's and my teeth feel delicate

Personally I found Gallstone attacks to be worse than childbirth..and I have given birth without any drugs or gas/air
