my daughter recently went to oz before she went the family booked and payed for a rental vehicle over here


when they got to oz on going to pick up the vehicle they were asked for their c/card they thought it was for insurance etc when they got back home there was a statement from the c/card company showing full rental price which had already been paid over here there was also a covering letter saying the uk firm had ceased trading and the oz firm had not received their money which was why they debited my daughter the oz firm suggested to check if they could recoup from the travel insurance firm does anybody have any suggestions for help

They should be able to get the original payment (to the UK company) back from the credit card company, who have joint responsibility for the provision of services.


It won't be covered by travel insurance.
