Do I have to be signed up to Facebook to make a donation via Paypal? I know there is a delay before Paypal will show it on one's account.I was happy to see they would increase £20 to £25 but am not sure if the donation has gone through yet. May be I am being a tad impatient. :-).I want nothing to do with facebook but you will get my donation come hell or high water.

Retro - you're asking ME about Facebook? Are you daft?
If you can bear with us I'll get Liv to 'enlighten' us sometime over the weekend (when my work doesn't clash with her socialising!). Thanks again.
Hi Retro... No you don't have to be signed up to Facebook... Does this link help?

Thank you mazie.I will try again.Just used your link and told my session had expired but had not been charged to my account so I will go back to Captains link and start again. Why is it always me that technology beats. :-)
Maybe the answer is in your name RETRO
hi retro

if you are donating - use gift aid direct - you're ex-police so you're not poor and the tax can also be gifted to a charity

google Framjee to see what happens to intermediates - Dove charity - give-as-you-live etc went bust - so what happened to the donations ?
very good question. There are rules about it all and you can read what the judges said .....
The link I was thinking of for charity givers was

http://laws.londoninternational.ac.uk/2014/10/03/framjee-part-1-the-three-certainties-in-practice/

and scroll a little to 'The facts' - " The Dove charity was an unincorporated charity "..... and your blood will run COLD. The short story is that they go bust in £1m and so what happens to the money already given and frozen at the time of the judgement ? The lawyers have a field day at Dove's ( already in deficit ) 's expense.....

( sorry proper legal advice on charities spilling over to Chadderbank, dear dear )
