Please help! I would like to know who owns the land and buildings of a school that my husband works in. They have decided to close this school and we would both like to know who will profit by this, selling off the land and buildings? I have tried to find the owner on line but dont really know where to start can anyone point me in the right direction?

If I were you I'd start by phoning your local council, at least they maybe able to point you in the right direction. Maybe they own it.
The school will have an address. Using that you can download all the information you need from the Land Registry for £3.

The planning application will name the applicant. Viewable on line.
Anyone can apply for planning permission it doesn't have to be the land owner
If it isn't the owner, then they (or their agent) have to notify the neighbours. Ask them.
What reason have they given for closing the school? If you tell us the name we can look up it's internet entry there may be information on there.
