Hi everyn,

As the title states, I had a back, neck and shoulder massage recently. The 'masseur' quickly found a multitude of knots up and down my left side which she set about releasing but suggested a go for a deep tissue massage at some point, see a chiropractor and see her every 6 weeks too. I should probably note that before this massage I had zero discomfort anywhere but now I have a really sore pelvis on the left side (my bad side) which is constantly aching. I sould also probably stae that this massage was well over 2 weeks ago...!
Has anybody else had ths or anything to recommend? I think I'll book a doctors appointment but I know that may take a fair few weeks/months to get me in to see a NHS chiropractor... :/

Thanks in advance :)

not a clue. I know they definitely have physio's.

I am not sure where this "soreness" is...........on the left side of your back (sacro-iliac region...bony) OR your left groin.
Question Author
Sacro-iliac is definitely the area.
OK....if I remember rightly you are a nurse.;-)

I wouldn't bother with massage OR chiropractice, I would take Ibuprofen 400mgs every 6 hours for a week and then see what happened.
Why on earth does anyone go to a masseur.?

Unqualified people can cause you lots of problems.

I was in training but had to give it up as I ran out of money to put myself through and my Crohns Disease got so bad that I mssed some ofm placements which I couldn't make sadly. Thanks for the advice ;)
Why would people go to get a massage? I reckon thats a question for AB isn't it?
Ah!.....ignore my advice re. Ibuprofen if you have Crohn's Disease.
They aren't unqualified, Sir O.
