they used to be mocked for asking "What is a Beatle?" so I suppose we can hardly complain that they've found out.

anyone who's reduced to "starring" in moneysupermarket commercials can't be that popular.
I suppose it is their duty to say whatever is relevant to the case. Although wondering about the reasons for the attacker's attendance probably don't count. I guess that was a free extra for everyone.

Were there not grounds for an appeal there, a judge admitting to being bent? I take 'bent' in that context to mean he was amenable to bribes.
I don't think PP's last sentence referred to the two true things, though the scarcity of full stops means I could be misreading.
