I know. I also have pork and beef mince to make a spag bol. It doesn't look like I'll have a lazy food day for a while.

I don't mind though.

I have had a really busy day today, though, and I was looking for an easy option. The chips are in the oven.

I know anne. I didn't say we were having a cheap meal. I said a no cooking meal. I am aware of how lucky I am to have the option of 'not cooking' steak and chips.

I count steak and chips as cooking (not that I cook steak at home). Mine had a mountain of mash and too many bangers.

I laugh on the inside when OH wants steak and chips for tea. A no effort meal! I add 'effort' by adding onion and garlic. I usually serve it with a fried egg. I went all out last week and added mushrooms and tomatoes, too :)

No, no pepper sauce, sibs. French mustard will have to do.

I have grilled tomatoes and mushrooms on the go, AC. They don't count.

Sher, mashed potatoes is cooking....fiddly!
