the return of this venerable BBC winter sports vehicle always heralds the countdown to my annual visit to the slopes (this year SkiWelt-Soll yay).

just wish that pair of presenting jokers would desist from the sound of their own voices and actually show us more actual plank-sliding.

or better still, bring back chemmy Alcott......

Mush...I never missed a Ski Sunday since it was launched in 1978, until the early 90's, when I stopped skiing myself. I have fond memories of cheering on the likes of Stenmark, Klammer, the Crazy Camucks, the Mahre Twins, etc, etc.

But it was never the same after David Vine left.

I now live in Switzerland and within a short drive of most of the ski slopes and I have never considered taking up the sport.
Nothing about is appeals to me ....Don't mind sitting at the bottom of the slopes and enjoying a drink in the sunshine however :-)
