I had an email from Barclays about remembering my passwords. It looked genuine, addressed to me. Had to enter all my details, started to do it then felt uneasy, so deleted. Was I right?

Absolutely right Caran. Banks will NEVER ask you for your password.
Most certainly. Had one yesterday from H.B.S.C.

Ring them up and report it. If it's genuine they will soon tell you, but I strongly suggest it is isn't.

Thanks both, really felt this was ok, until I started to do it, then felt uneasy and deleted it.
Since I received my email to similar effect I check my on line account twice a day to make sure I have not been robbed. Mind you, if they want to steal my overdraft, then go ahead, is all I can say.
By the way don't phone your bank on the phone no.given to you by the email,as it will not be the bank no.

Phone your bank on the number on your bank statement.
I echo SirO... or the number on your debit card.
So easy to fall into these traps - glad you caught yourself in time.

Yes, it looked so genuine, full name, all barclays insignia, really fooled me. I thought it was such a good idea as I'm always forgetting which password I've used.
Caran These emails look genuine, but of course they aren't.

If you go on line to your bank web site and type in " phishing " or " fraudulent emails",your bank will send you a long list of examples which you have to be aware of.
OMG, yes, you were right. Always DELETE!!
