The boiling point of water is 100c.
...or 212 degrees Fahrenheit
... at sea-level. Even 1000ft up there may be a 2F difference.
Unless the water is pressurized and then the boiling point is raised. ie in a cars cooling system, thats why it is so dangerous to remove the radiator cap when the water is hot because removing the cap releases the pressure and the water inside instantly boils up.
