if the law says I am entitled so much money per week in benefits , And its the law remember that I get that amount , how can the DWP take it off me in sanctioned benefits for 4 weeks, because I missed an appointment with there office, ? is this not contradicting what the law states in the first place..., and also if my human right is the right to live, and I get no money for 4 weeks of been sanctioned should I starve to death as even glass of water is theft because I have not paid the bill and am drinking water which is not paid for.SO really again is this against my human rights

Benefit payments are only made on condition you comply with the requirements to get them. One of those is that you attend and meetings , assessments , interviews that they ask you to go for. The law DOES NOT say you are entitled to just get money handed to you for ever without you doing anything in return. The benefit system has got much tighter in recent months and...

never meant yu in fairness
Have you got your car back yet?
Why has it changed from when you said that you were better off when sanctioned than working?
They do not sanction you just for missing one appointment, you would get a warning but not sanctioned. You must have missed more than one appointment. They are not daft, they can and do check up that you actually did go to a job interview that they paid travel for. If you have taken travel expenses and just not bothered going to the interview that could be why you are sanctioned now.
///They do not sanction you just for missing one appointment///
Oh yes they do. ;)
Sorry, but that argument can in theory be used for many actually working too.
For heaven's sake - stop feeling sorry for yourself. I was brought up in a time (the thirties) when there were no benefits except a very small amount of dole money if you were out of work. New clothes - what's that? Food - very little, just enough to exist on. We had to get on with it as well as we could, which is why I have no sympathy for you.
I have sympathy. Just no answer. Irrespective of individual cases, the sledgehammer to crack a nut policy of this government is disgusting towards the vulnerable.
every municipal leisure centre has them eddie. I counted 3 this lunch time in mine.
He doesn't sound vulnerable to me.
It's odd how some claimants insist the law supports their right to receive their full benefit entitlement yet forget about the JSA laws and regulations they have to adhere to as part of that entitlement.
I am now certain this thread and some others from this member are 'wind ups' and we have fallen for them!
