Downturn Abbey

I watch Downton every week / series hoping to enjoy it as much as Series 1, but I never do. Neither the storylines nor the characters seem to be taking us viewers forward anymore. What you think?

A wooden script delivered woodenly.
I have seen very little of it but none of it has impressed.

I still watch .I love Maggie Smith .Without her it wouldn't be quite the same .
She carries it .It was quite comical tonight the way they all stood up when the King spoke on the "wireless".

I think Downton is like a lot of other series,it simply goes on.As Ronnie Barker said "always leave them wanting more."

I still watch it but feel this should be the last series. I just LOVE Maggie Smith. Who doesn't? It just seem so slow and nothing really ever happens.

Downton is getting a tad boring.

It's virtually impossible to believe that the genius first series was written by the same author of the comparatively dull and mediocre subsequent series, yet it's claimed Julian Fellowes has written the lot. This latest episode ended with Lady Mary preparing for an all-night sex session with Lady Mary. How desperate are they for viewers...or a sixth series? Please lord no!

I agree its very boring now. In fact I switched over last night.

They should have brought back on the BBC The Paradise. Lovely story and a few more episodes could have been made.

It's definitely overstayed its welcome. Shame because I loved the first series, even with all it's faults . I hope this is the last series. It's now 1924 and 12 years since episode one but nobody has aged a day.

the character of Lady Mary is boring, and the actress who plays her is as interesting as a wooden doll.
I think they should wrap up all the stories, and make this the last series, because it is now past its best.
