Please I need some help asap. I awoke with a red eye which is getting worse and I have a job interview tomorrow.

What can I do to ease the discomfort and stop the redness?

I'll be going doctors tomorrow evening and can't get to a pharmacy tonight.

I have apple vinegar, brown vinegar and white malt vinegar as well as pink himalayan rock salt and normal salt. Could I make a diluted eye wash or would this make it worse?

I'll have to check answer after as I have to go and have a long bath and shampoo/condition my hair which takes ages.

Thanks in advance.

Can't help, just wanted to say good luck with the interview tomorrow :)
please dont use vinegar in your eye. you could bathe it in salt water
Bicarbonate of soda might help, just a pinch in boiled water left to cool.
Plain boiled and cooled water until you see your doctor, don't be putting any sort of vinegar in your eyes!
The doctor will probably prescribe chloramphenicol eye drops which can be bought over the counter at pharmacies for less than the price of a UK prescription.
Agree with daffy, i used that and it worked a treat. But in the meantime just bathe in water with nothing added.
Can you pop into a pharmacy before your interview tomorrow?
Put a warm teabag on it and massage in towards the inner corner of your eye.
Hope your eye get's better soon and wish you luck with your job interview.
Until you see your GP concerning a diagnosis, I wouldn't do anything to the eye other than take Ibuprofen 600mgms for the pain.
I cannot imagine the inflammation going away before your interview, whatever the diagnosis.

Thanks all! Never took any advice as didn't want to make it worse but woke up with a red eye only from the left side of my left eye and my glasses hopefully made it look not as bad.

I look like Arnie in the terminator!

Was tempted to buy eyedrops but am worried in case it's a parasite who feeds off the eye drops or maybe high blood pressure from stress so will take squads advice and go docs and see what they say. Fingers crossed and breath held.

Hopefully nothing serious. :(

I hate when I'm ill
