Unable To See Emails In Windows 8.1

Using Windows 8.1. Last 2 days I have not had any emails and thought this strange. When check my G mail via an i pad there are emails showing. My wife has the same problem on her profile. We have not changed any settings so don't know what the problem is or how to fix it. Thanks in advance for any hep

Had an email from a friend today to state that BT had cancelled their accounts and it was all going through Yahoo. We had the same problem with our Sky account, so it could be a change of the provider. They did not inform any of us that it was to happen. We had no e mail for several days, and neither did our friends., that may be what is happening to your account. Worth checking it.

Can you log in to your gmail accounts directly from your browser on your 8.1 machine?
