Help! For some reason, over the last 5 or 6 weeks I've been getting porn pop-ups whenever I log on to the internet. One advertises 'desktop dancers' and the other is asking me to download something saying I 'must click yes to complete.' This happens two or three times in a row and I've no idea how to stop it. Strangely enough a workmate is having the same problem. How can I stop them please!!!

Downloading AdAware or similar to clear the rubbish out of your PC is probably the best option (though if it's a work machine, you may not have the necessary permissions to install it...): http://www.webattack.com/freeware/security/fwantis

. You may also want to get a pop-up blocker (elsewhere on the same site), of course, if you block all pop-ups, sites such as this one that partially finance themselves via pop-ups will be out of pocket, as it were. (I always override the blocker when I come here, AB Editor).
Go to www.google.com and down load their toolbar. It includes (amoung other things) a pop up blocker which you can deactivate for certain sites (where you wish to see the pop ups). Works very well and I installed it at work too. Good luck
