......rinses on the tumble dry programme and clothes come out wetter than before I put them in!! Do you think it's not working properly???

Yes it has gone wrong. Washer driers are notoriously poor at both washing and drying and are very unreliable.

Is this a condenser drier? Presumably you are leaving the clothes in long enough? I have a condenser and stuff does get wetter before it dries. Mind you if it rinses on the dry cycle then it's broken.
