Does anyone know a source of authentic Mexican food ingredients in the UK? (eg, dried chillies, tomatillos, masa harina, etc). I know about the Cool Chile Company - but they're so expensive!

Er... I have. But they don't do the different varieties of chili using in Mexican cooking, or tomatilloes, or various other unusual ingredients essential to this cuisine. As far as I'm aware there is no specialist Mexican food shop in the UK (presumably as there aren't any sizeable Mexican communities here). There isn't even a halfway decent Mexican restaurant in the whole of London!
Have you looked at http://www.lupepintos.com/ I know they're in Scotland but they do mail order.
