Bob and Earl
Bob and Earl

Bob and Earl
Bob & Earl were an American soul music singing duo in the 1960s, best known for writing and recording the original version of "Harlem Shuffle". Wikipedia

The only bit I can't see is why it says "need in full"
I thought because a florin was two shillings (in full) but the shortened (slang) for a shilling was Bob

That bit is confusing of this clue, maybe Bob is one shilling and u need 2 to make a florin?
That's right - a florin was two (two bob). It's just the use of the word NEED that puzzled me
Robert Earl ?
Bob in full is Robert.

Actually It's the full "need in full". But whatever the reason for that wording the answer is right. Harlem Shuffle is better known to youngsters today as the song sampled in House of Pain's Jump Around (used in Mars Bar ads)
Frankly I think you are right.
Mmm- so maybe the answer is Robert Earl
Different Bob
Yes it is, but Robert Earl was a singer
