I was pushed into buying a pair of 'Sleekers' hair straightners by this salon, when afterwards I was recommended to have bought Ghd's. Does anyone know how different these straightners are? Which are actually better?

I heard on watchdog that many of their hair straighteners are faulty....they have a tendency to blow up and smoke in the users hands. ceramic hair straighteners are good, steam ones are suppose to protect your hair a bit better. I have had both and the ceramic ones produce better results. BUT beware not to use them too often and have you rhair regularly cut to remove the split ends which they WILL cause as they damage hair. Anyway curls are back in so get scrunching
