Just a little bit if chat and i know that the spelling of Jeff is different, but every time you mentioned Jeff Chandler, it reminded me of a dear colleague whom i have just learnt has died.

He also was charismatic, good looker and a personable guy.

Think of it - in your memories you are both still young and energetic. Running through old memories doesn't use up as much energy than running down the road.

I am 50 but my brain is so much younger (when it works) but my body ..... it could do with a transplant or two/three .....

:-)
Wolf you are just a youngster in comparison but it is good to have a brain work out every day.
My mother is as bright as a button, and socialises regularly. I phoned her recently.

"What are you up to today?"

"Waiting for a few friends to come and pick me up."

"Anywhere special?"

" A few of us are meeting up at the ............. er ............ umm...
you know .............. the ........... er ........... oh yes ........
The Memory Clinic."
