Send your eye witness to specsavers I said.

You have to laugh at lots of things or you'd go mad - mistakes do happen.

Boxy, I have to see the funny side. I have enough sadness.
"I'd be spitting feathers!"

You'd be extremely thirsty?

It's like the saying....

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"
This one, jeffa - yours is from the urban dictionary....

My Dad said spitting feathers when he wanted a pint.
Absolutely correct. "People heard it who didn't know its true meaning, made a false association with spitting blood, and changed the sense."
Well, obviously, Jeza! If you're spitting feathers, you're extremely thirsty.
What a story - I would have made them feel SO guilty, told them about Mic and how hard it is for you without them scaring you half to death. I would definitely ring the station first thing in the morning and ask to speak to the Sergeant or higher rank. Tell them they didn't apologise, and be polite but ask if they have ever been taught people skills and good manners. I would love to ring for you ..... I love complaining but in a nice subtle way!!!
Prefer spitting nails, feathers rarely hurt unless one is allergic.
Would want a full apology and explanation.
I know that you would not play the sympathy card Jeza but that is just not acceptable.
Regrettably, though, a complaint against the police will inevitably result in further harassment and intimidation.
I had a mob of cops turn up some years back re a 40foot trailer load of cat food that'd been stolen, they thought O/H'd been involved,he was in Italy at the time.It waspcidaling with rain & the cid were in their armani suits,so said they were welcome to search outbuildings,6ft of weeds all round.never to be seenagain
Armani suits ?
posh ones, sorry my smelling spelling terrible
You didn't spell it wrong Petal, Armani Suits is correct.

They are meant to do something called 'due diligence' before busting through the door....
make a formal complaint thro the Chief constable

that clearly either this wasnt done OR if they did, they need to change their procedures to something that approximates to due diligence....
NB, petal, I was not questioning your spelling of Armani, just the fact that they were wearing expensive suits.
