Ignore my , I shall now get out of bed and wake up properly
"Desperately needs help"; "poor man" etc. etc.

All perfectly true. However, with the exception of kvalidir and ummm nobody seems to have had much concern for the victims in this. They have been through years or fear and terror wondering when this maniac will strike next and further wondering what his increasingly bizarre and frightening behaviour will lead him to do next.

He may well need help. He may be curable, maybe not. However, that is all of secondary concern. The court's primary concern is (or should be) the protection of the public. They are not social workers, they are not mental health insitutions. The only effective way to achieve that is to lock this man up. Whether it be in prison or in some other form of secure accommodation is open to debate but locked up he should be.
my thoughts entirely New Judge, i cannot imagine the stress caused to these innocent victims. I hope that they have some peace of mind whilst he is in a secure (hopefully secure) institution
I'm with you NJ, it's his victims I feel sorriest for and the poor little calf he killed in the blaze.
This story stinks.
