What an interesting and revealing programme tongiht's first The Story of Women and Art was.

I can't wait for the next one.

Superb stuff, and so much better than soaps, reality, cooking, antiques/auctions, makeovers, house buying, and similar trite rubbish clogging the airways these days.

Do you agree ?

Really great television for a change. Isn't Amanda Vickery brilliant? I rather think Mr Q is developing a crush!
No, I don't agree with your comments (I didn't see the programme you mention)....however, I don't see how this programme is "better" than the other types of programme you mention. Simply different.
And I've always regarded it as childish to call a TV programme "rubbish" just because YOU don't like it.
There is nothing childish about calling "Flog It" or "Come Dine with Me" rubbish. Along with "Grand Designs" and "Great British Menu" and all the other cheap time fillers, they are complete drivel.

I remember a time when these programmes were confined to daytime TV, whatever happened to the evening schedules to let them take over?
It was very interesting, time was you could barely count the number of women artists on one hand! I learned a fair bit, I have heard of some of them but not all of them. Looking forward to the next one too
