Have solved 4 out of 5 to be highlighted, totally at a halt with 26d. Premier space for boron ?ea???n

Also 40a. Camel charge detected behind house. ??ward

37a. Napper having drink? About right. ?rin?

Any help would be brilliant

40a Howard . . . Ho for house, ward = charge (can't explain camel)

26d Heathen ? . . . Edward Heath + en for printer's space (who's Boron?)

26 Heathen - Heath is the premier, en is the space (a printing term). The extra letter is in 'boron' .

Johnalex, there was an extra letter in the definition part of the clues and the remainder was scrambled. I think the 'c' in 'camel was superfluous - and unscrambling gave 'male' - Howard. (This could be wrong, I'm doing it from memory.)
