Well according to sp1814, "Surely this man has every right to say what he thinks about Islam and homosexuality"?

But what the BBC report left out was this Twiiter remark (made by a person called Stephen Lees, and reported on by the Mirror), he wrote "Every single Muslim should be expelled from this country - not deported - expelled, and every mosque demolished."

Why did the Mirror need to include this remark, is Stephen Lees also a Conservative? not according to the party,

/// Stephen Lees is not a member of the Conservative Party according to local records checked today. The local association has also confirmed that he is not a party activist, and has no formal ties to the Conservative Party. ///

The article does emphasize that the candidate "retweeted" - which means posting someone else's tweet.

As for the question - no. And, if I'm being completely honest, I didn't really get SP's question either.
Its about time we excluded religion from all politics ! Its entirely immaterial whether dave, Ed, or Cleggie goes to church or not. They are in Parliament to govern the country and try to improve our lives, not lead everybody in singing hymns.
