What Is Your Idea Of 'retro'

I ask this because I'm in the process of getting stock together to open a little boutique selling Retro items. Talking to various different age groups I'm getting the impression 'Retro' is very dependant on your age. Some people think 40's and 50's are Retro (I would class this era as Vintage) some think the Eighties are 'Retro (do me a favour that was only last month wasn't it?) I'm stocking stuff from the early 60's to the late '70's. Is this what you would expect to see? If not what? (I'm off out now but will get back later to discuss answers) Thanks x

Great answers -Filofax omg it was the must have one Xmas lol! I'm not selling clothing becauseyou need too much stock and there are plenty of clothes shops selling retro stuff much cheaper than I could sell. I have got a couple of dresses from the 60's but they are mainly collectors items -Mary Quant mini and a Monsoon Kaftan, and a pair of thigh length platform boots I'm opening Friday and am panicking now lol!
