On the rear of my TV I have only one USB port which my SKY BOX is plugged into, I wish to plug my DVD player into the USB port as well, Can I get a bog standard USB splitter and would it work OK and be safe.

Many thanks

Can't you use the HDMI for your Sky box!
Sorry for the exclamation mark. That should be a question mark?

I am already using the HDMI for the SKY box,I have tried putting the DVD cable in other ports but the only one it works in the HDMI port.
Sorry about this but I am no techie.
You can get a HDMI Splitter box for about £20 that will solve your problem.

Many thanks for the info.
You're welcome.
1. Its HDMI, not USB - a USB splitter will be of no use to you.

2. You don't need a splitter - that's to send 1 HDMI signal to 2 different devices - you need a HDMI SWITCH which will automatically route either the DVD signal or the Sky box to the same HDMI port on your TV.

Does your TV really only have 1 HDMI input (must be either old or cheap), even the "no-name" supermarket tat usually has 2.
