I have two Australian Shepards you want to bark at any little thing from familiar family members to little noises from outside the home.

When the dog barks, say 'NO' in a firm voice, and show it no love/affection. When training to sit, when they're sitting still, give them pats and treats, but if they move, say "NO" and ignore them.

well that's not gonna work.
What else do they do? do they just stand there and bark? How old are they? what training have you given them? are they left alone a lot? how long have you had them?
