Has anybody experience of the treatment available for car tyres that seals them for life against punctures? I ask because more and more cars are now only available with limited use puncture repair kits.

I used one once and never again. It was relatively expensive (I have large tyres), didn't work when I ran over a screw and made it impossible to repair the tyre, so I had to buy a new one.
NEVER buy a car which only comes with a puncture repair kit - they have limited success eg, a puncture in the tyre wall cannot be fixed with one. Spacesavers spares are bad enough but inflation kits are a complete no-no as far as I am concerned.
I've used Ultraseal for years now and never had a flat tyre. Fit it and forget it. Last time was about £40.00 for all four tyres.
Most folk don't get punctures. And I suspect nothing can make a tyre puncture proof save for using a solid tyre. Just puncture tolerant.

Unless I could get a spare wheel, even a spacesaver if it had to be, I would not buy the vehicle.
Indeed, but in my case it has to be a proper wheel. I was surprised to find my car didn't have a proper spare when I went to use it but some kind of Noddy, thin, limited speed and distance nonsense. Had I known to check rather than trust the dealer, I'd not have bought the car. Honestly all they had to do was make the dip in the boot where the wheel was stored deeper, and supply the right thing. Took me forever and a day to finish the long journey on that darned thing. But that's a different issue: sorry.
Some liquids are only for slow moving vehicles and not to be driven above 40 mph...because they will throw the wheel out of balance.

Thanks all for your comments, I have been tempted by some cars that are only available with puncture repair kits. Think I'll stick with vehicles that will at least have a space saver as these have got me out of trouble quite satisfactorily in the past.
