Unfortunately Ive never seen a good remake, so I think it would have to be a very bad film they remade to make it better. Classics childrens films have been ruined, Charlie & Chocolate Factory, Pink Panther, Freaky Friday, etc
Although King Kong and Titanic are exceptions. :-)
I went to the cinema yesterday and saw a trailer for a remake of The Omen, to be released on 6/6/06 (scary!!!) Initially I thought the trailer was for the new Scary Movie film. I can't understand why the film companys believe they can improve on such classics (Planet Of The Apes, The Italian Job etc etc)
Citizen Kane would be interesting. It is a great film, but not perfect and I would like to see if Hollywood could actually do it without adding sex scenes, mutants or cg.
Could you imagine an E.T. remake?? scandalous!

4getmenot, I actually refused to see the Freaky Friday remake because I loved the old one so much. But after watching the new one I thought it was fantastic. It wasn't a 100% remake and therefore I could enjoy it as much as the original.

Although I loved the original "Logan's Run", I wouldn't mind to see it remade to see if they could expand it anymore. Guess it would be more eyecandy than story though. Hmmm...

they should do another Goofellas / Casino type film, with Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro. Same actors, same gangster type film, but fifferent story. Goodfellas and casion are the nuts!

They do these remakes and totally screw them up,as has been said on here already "charlie and the chocolate factory"yuk,I just pray that they don't attempt GREASE or DIRTY DANCING cos the sequels were bad enough!
Enough with the remakes already!

Westworld - cryiing out for a remake.

Some films just shouldnt be touched, flawed as they may be but classics in their own right.

Drop Dead Fred!
No way snotface, you cannot re-make drop dead fred, a sequel maybe, but cant get rid of Rik Mayal.
its a wonderful life, with nick cage playing the james stewart role but who could play clarence?
I agree with spaced, I would like to see Goodfellas/ Casino sequeled.

On remakes I would like to see 50s/60s films like The great Race & Those magnificent men in those flying Machines remade.

Making TV progames like Starsky & Hutch etc has not worked although I hope the A Team movie does go ahead, but I would hate for it to be as cr4p as the other TV Programs to Big Screen.
