It feels like it's been around longer than that.

I was trying to describe life before the Internet to my 12 year old nephew the other day.

He couldn't believe that if you heard a song on the radio or television, you would have to sing it to your mates the next day to find out what it was, and then maybe wait until Saturday to go and buy it (rather than using Shazam / Spotify / Pandora)

He was amazed when I told him we used to queue outside a cinema to buy tickets for a film...actual real life queuing.

And he doesn't understand the concept of a 'daily' newspaper. To his generation, news doesn't happen once a day...it's a constantly evolving stream...
