I really like Bjorks music but i am on a budget at the moment and I am not sure which of her many albums to buy. Can anyone give me a good all rounder, something that encapsulates her at her best. Thanks.

Got to be 'Debut', for me although I'm not very well qualified to say, having not listened to the others!! Bought that on an old fashioned thing called a cassette tape when it came out
No offence but she has a bit of a whiney voice
I agree with teag1rl, Debut is a fantastic album.
Definitely Debut, but I'm sure a Best Of album was brought out a couple of years ago.

...Have just had a look on the HMV website and Bjork brought out Greatest Hits in November 2002.

Having said all that, I'd still go for Debut. Brilliant album!

Cheers all sounds like it will be Debut but I have never been very good a budgeting so i may buy the greatest hits one also.
Yeah Bjork bought out a very good "best of" - i bought it for 5.00 in Fopp the other week and it contains the best stuff from Debut and the follow ups. I'd say that's a good introduction and a bit of a bargain...
Bjork's brilliant 'Debut' album was her biggest selling album but her follow up 'Post' which came out in 1995 was in my opinion her best yet, with brilliant tracks such as its oh so quiet, isabel and hyberballad featured on the album. Well worth buying.

I am afraid that Its oh soo quiet makes me want to poke my eyes out with a spoon but thanks for the help i will however look into the rest of the album. :)
