Anyone got any idea on where to go in Europe with 4 teenagers. We went abroad for the first time last year with them and we went to Salou and had a ball, but would like to go somewhere else. Did think of Benidorm as it has a theme park and a water park to keep them busy, they no not like sitting about doing nothing, but do not like organised events.

Is Benidorm okay to let 13 and 16 year old twins go about on their own until midnight, would like to give them a bit of freedom, which they had in Salou. (they kept away from the nightclubs, spent most of the nights in the arcades near the hotel).

You already said you went to Salou, but why not go again, but this time stay at one of the three Port Aventura hotels.

We went there last year with our 2 teenage children and stayed at the Hotel El Paso. Lovely hotel with great outdoor water area, and excellent food included.

By staying at the El Paso (or the Caribe which is a bit cheaper) you get FREE entrance to the theme park every day.

You also get FREE entrance to the water park (for some days depending on when you go). We could go in FREE every day as we went in July.

By staying at the Port Aventura hotels you also get to jump the queues for the rides. You are given a pass that allows you to got to the front of the queues.

The El Paso is only a 5 minute walk from the theme park, the Caribe only a 10 minute walk.

We were happy to let our 16 year old son walk to the theme park on his own, and stay there, and walk back on his own.

It is about a 15 minute walk from the El Paso to the centre of Salou, or there are plenty of buses and taxis.

Our kids loved it.

I beg you, don't go to Benidorm, if the earth needed an enema, that is where the tube should go! Going back to the same place can sometimes be dull, why not ask your kids if they want to go back, if they say no, then involve them in searching for a good holiday, they might enjoy the experience and at least if things don't quite work, you will all hopefully be able to laugh together. Writting lists of what you all want and don't want could be a good start, and then, go to a local independant tour operator, that is essentially what theye are there for and they do in my experience, enjoy the challenge of finding the right holiday based on your requirements. Go on, give it a go, it might be a blast for all of you. X

Whaaaaa.........Benidorm is THE place...........

Salou is good..........Benidorm is THE Business
