I didn't quite believe it either, talk about one rule for one and something entirely different for the rest of us!
What is she supposed to do, go on the dole?
She has served her prison sentence and is apparently a very well regarded economist.
She is an economist. Apparently quite a good one. She went to prison and did her time. Now she has got some work as an economist.

Other than Tories hating their LibDem coalition partners, I do not see why we now have two threads goung on this.

// Mr Cable’s panel meets about three times a year and Ms Pryce’s role is unpaid. //

Seems like a good deal for the taxpayers too. Why the fuss?
As I pointed out on another thread about this - Aitkin also made a return in an advisory capacity to IDS.

His was a much more serious case than taking speeding points!

read what I said

how many "ordinary" people would get a position like this after doing time ?

most crims that do time are lucky to get any job

as to "go on the dole" Pffft pretty pointless answer considering her "wealth"
Question Author
as to other threads already on this, I've just seen it after having to actually open the posts, hence why I hadnt seen them and posted this
Ah so you think she shouldn't be able to get a job because she's wealthy?
Craft

Baz is stating the fact that anyone with more than £16,000 savings cannot claim 'Dole' or 'Jobseekers Allowance' as it is quaintly now called.

Though there is a suggestion that she should not be employed as an economist by her LibDem pals.
You can get contributions based JSA for six months and it'not affected by savings.
if I had some sort of job involving economic policy I'd want the best advice I could get. I don't think I'd bother with the past of the advisors, just their ability. To do otherwise would mean running the country according to the second-best advice.
//there is a suggestion that she should not be employed as an economist by her LibDem pals.//

Can’t stand the woman, but as I see it she’s not being ‘employed’.

//Mr Cable’s panel meets about three times a year and Ms Pryce’s role is unpaid.//

Or have I missed something?
I never thought what they did warranted a prison sentence in the first place.
