Newbies

Why do certain ABers, including certain Mods fell the need to "welcome" newbies?
A bit OTT in my opinion especially as many of them are "wind up merchants."

Sqad, it appears that the great unwashed clamoring masses are intending to abase you because of your well postulated opinion regarding “newbies”. Please, if you may, twitch your curtains, and peer out of your mullioned windows and be aware of throngs of creatures who did not pass the eleven plus exams bearing pitch-forks, fire-brands, and conkers stealthily sidling towards your casa. If all else fails, bombard them with Ibuprofen and ask them to reconsider, after monitoring, their intentions.

sqad seems to forget we were all newbies at one time. I didn't fit in straight away. I think you get tested when you first join to make sure you're not a troll!
