/// ‘The indigenous population found themselves made strangers in their own country, their wives unable to obtain hospital beds in childbirth, their children unable to obtain school places, their homes and neighbourhoods changed beyond recognition.’ ///

A recent statement made by someone who agrees that mass immigration on the scale that we have witnessed it in this country creates many problem?

No, it was part of Enoch Powell's controversial speech 1968 "Rivers of Blood"

he said that by 1988, max, black would hold thewqhip hand, so time has already told whether he was right.

He was wrong, 100%.
he was wrong on the date, so are many people, George Orwell didn't get it right, nor did Nostradamus.
Orwell got 1984 by reversing the date of writing, 1948. And we didn't reach Jupiter by 2001.

But ... those were fiction; see the difference?
Nostradamus wasn't fiction, his predictions were many,
as you must know. Did he get any right, no it would seem, but then again some haven't come to past, as they are way into our future.
many of the terms have come into every day use have they not. and there are various suggestions as to why he chose 1984,
the age of Big Brother is with us, just look around you.

that should be come to pass, sorry.

he was an astrologer, a seer, and many believe his predictions to this very day George Orwell wrote a disturbing book, one where Big Brother rules,
who is to say that is not wrong. After all we are monitored 24/7 by cctv, those who continually say that it doesn't matter if you have done nothing that is also incorrect, because it's a catch all system.

@Emmie. He was flat out wrong with his predictions Emmie. Like every other supposed seer there has ever been. He was wrong then, just like Nostradamus has been wrong. The only way a "seer" has ever been proven right is by finding some event and twisting it to "fit" the prophecy.

The increasing passage of time makes it much less likely for his vision to pass, not more. No idea why you are continuing to defend him or his "visions".
And again you throw in a non-sequitur - What has George Orwell got to do with Enoch Powell? Orwell was at any rate writing fiction. I can point you to a number of science fiction writers whose future visions have come true, if you like...
of course some people believe Nostradamus. Some people believe Dan Brown. They're still fiction writers. If you published Nostradamus today, that's what he'd be: science fiction, without the plot.

And that's what Powell was producing too: fiction. You're sitting around waiting for his predictions to come true just like others wait for Nostradamus's. Don't waste your time. He was wrong.
