would you go to A&E with an injured foot or pay to go privately?
If you were a multi millionaire in your early 40s.

I would go private if i had the money, i went to the maternity ward yesterday as my waters were leaking and waited 3 bloody hours, before i said i was leaving. I had enough, and no communication from staff to say how long the wait would be, or if i was ok. rubbish care. Well, while i was leaving the doc came and saw me, which was convenient...but i still don't...

Definitely private if I could afford it. Since my fall over three months ago progress of back and forth to the hospital and doctors has been painfully slow and I still have swollen leg and foot and can't get my shoes on still.
Can't say if I'd be any better though. Some healing takes time!
A&E, are not in it for the profit, but the care. Def A&E
"Of course it matters. We're not The 53rd US state just yet."

In the interest of accuracy, that would be the 51st state.

"Hc, could you please identify a couple of these private A&E centers?"

Are you using the 50 states spelling in the comedic sense? :)
A&E at the hospital I work for... I'd get treated like a private patient cause I know the staff well :c)
One of the few benefits of working in-house, china :-)
If you went to A&E you might wait 10 or 12 hours to be treated. Could a multi millionaire afford the time?
I know Boxy... although my request to stay on the paediatric wards when I've been an in-patient cause I obviously know everyone there was met with a negative mainly because they thought I'd be a disruption though... meanies! ;o)
at CD's hospital. I'd have to tell her who I was, though. I hope they wouldn't throw me out for being an American tourist, since I use moot point in the same way as B00.
I'd make sure you were covered jno... although you might find my doctors give you a lolly after they've seen you and ask to speak to you mum for a couple of minutes ;o)
the lolly sounds good to me. I've not had one on the NHS before.
My my I do seem to have caused a kerfuffle.
