Hi I run a cub scout pack and want to make a model for the cubs to demonstrate a few things.
I am wondering if I can run a Scalectrix car powered by several wind up torches.
I do not know much about this sort of thing so any help would be appreciated, like is it possible and how many torches would each car require.

why not use a car battery of 12volts
I can't seem to find any figures on the power generated in a wind-up torch, Chil. I doubt if it's very much at all considering that all the ones I've seen use LED bulbs.

I would guess you would need an awful lot of them to power several electric motors for any useful length of time... or even one for that matter.

I'd certainly go for a car battery, or even a smaller motor bike one.
