New Avatar.......

I'm going to get a new avatar for xmas so I thought I ask my fellow contributors from the news section. Yes I know it's probably a chatterbank type question but I never go there so I thought I'd ask here. I know my current avatar was much loved by many so I thought I'd ask for suggestions. Perhaps you think I should keep this one!

This thread and its related questions prompted me to look at my profile and I saw it showed an email adress that I hadn't used for the past 2-3 years. I therefore changed it and clicked SUBMIT but it just went back to the original.
I also went to the address that Ed gave to a related question which brought up the same Edit Profile with the same negative result. He did say click ' 'Save ' but there isn't a 'Save' only a 'Submit' . Either way I can't edit my profile !
What am I doing wrong ?

I have found it will accept another email but it also changes the avatar to the bubble default. So I have to put in the old no longer used email address and back comes my own avatar.

Why don't you change your email on Gravatar as well?

I've been onto Gravatar and have updated my profile using my normal avatar with the new email but it doesn't appear on AB as you can see.
I've tried deactivating the default avatar but to no avail.

I've just edited my profile and put in the old email and its back to where it was . ie before I tried to put in my current email which I want. It doesn't matter really except AB doesn't have my correct email address.
