why do the forkseals on my kdx125 keep leaking?they've been replaced twice in the last month and they're leaking again?

are the fork legs pitted or totally smooth? extend the leg to check the area that is normally below the seal,if there is any pitting you can get them re-chromed at a reasonable cost. i did my honda 750 about ten years ago and were ok when i sold it three years later. also use fork gatters when the prob is fixed.

make sure the correct ammount/weight of fork oil is used, to much can make the seal blow.

another alternative is contamination......

could be that you have dirt/grit within the forks or oil. give the legs a full strip down and clean all parts in paraffin.

also check for any play in the forks, between the upper and lower sections. if the bike is used off road, there could be some excessive wear in the bushes.
