I am probably going to buy one of these players. What I would like to know is can I transfer images direct from my Canon 300d camera to the player without going via a PC by using the USB cable.
I want to use it to store photos 'out in the field' if my camera's card is getting full.

Doesn't look like it (see below). My Samsung YH-J70 has USB host support (haven't had time to fully test it yet). Nice review of Zen M here:- (Like the video out facility)

"Hi, I am thinking on buying a ZEN and the only thing is keeping me atthe moment that I don't know if I can connect my digital camera to the ZEN and upload my photos to it directly. Or do I need a pc 1st.
Please let me know so I can go and buy one :) Thanks

No it does not have USB host support. You cannot hook a camera up to it directly. The iAudio X5 is a nice MP3 player and has host support, but it just doesnt have the nice screen the Vision:M has.

you can buy a great little adapter for the iPods that lets you do exactly what you want, too.
